Located at 509 North Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL 34285, Dockside is easy to get to from either of the Freedom Boat Club Venice marinas. They do not take reservations but they do have a call ahead system to get you cued when you are on your way.
As you drive up to the docks you will see 4 to 5 spots, but there are also 2 to 3 spots to the left on the side. Dock space is almost always available off season. You will enter into the back, but walk to the front of the restaurant to check in with the hostess. There are a variety of seating options including high-tops along the side, tables under cover in the front (with no view) and the covered, air-conditioned patio along the water (where we always sit)

Dockside Waterfront Grill is a fun, old Florida style restaurant in Venice, Florida with great food and awesome service. They have lots of food to choose from but we were there at lunchtime. So I ordered the Grilled Grouper Tacos with Coleslaw (a little disappointing as they were lacking in flavor and imagination with lots of lettuce with a small sprinkle of diced tomato) and Andy had the BLT with Corn Salad. I often order the grouper sandwich or the grouper entree (very good choices). Mostly every other menu item that I have tried has been excellent. Andy likes the BLT, lots of bacon, high quality bread, and great flavor. He ordered the corn salad (one of his favorites) to top it off.
Meals:
They have live music in the evenings but we usually come and go before then. They also are pet friendly, so you can bring Fido if you wish.
