Located on the east side of Longboat Key at 412 Gulf of Mexico Dr, Longboat Key, FL 34228, Dry Dock is one of our favorite restaurants. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes by boat to get there from the Sarasota Marina Jack location (See route below). Try to make a reservation in advance, as they get really busy, especially during the season.
When you pull up you will see that they have plenty of docking space. If it is full, we were told that we could park at the docks next door. It is pretty easy to get in and out and get the boat tied up. Once you get parked and exit the boat, you will see that you are in the middle of the outdoor dining area. You will need to go to the left of the building and to the front, where you will find steps to the check in upstairs. (There is also an elevator around the corner). You can choose to dine outside on the patio or inside on the top floor.
Docks:
Dry Dock will not disappoint! On a recent visit, I had the fried grouper bites and they were fantastic with a very light crust and a tasty dip. The spinach salad with candied nuts, strawberries and cranberries was delightful! I noticed that a man at another table got a grouper sandwich. It was fun watching him eat it as you could tell how much he was enjoying it. Everything grouper is great but they have a varied menu with lots of choices.
The service was outstanding and the view was awesome! Also, dogs are permitted at the outdoor tables. What more could you ask for? Thank you Drydock.
