Hey, guys! I’m back with another review of a cool spot we visited last weekend when we took a pontoon out of The Harborage in St. Petersburg . It’s called Doc Ford’s Rum Bar and Grille, and it’s located at the Saint Pete Pier in Florida. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy some delicious seafood, tropical drinks, and live music, this is the place for you!

When you pull up you will see a sign for restaurant parking and there was plenty available.  After parking the boat, we headed towards the exit where there was a gate and on the right we saw a machine where they wanted parking fees.  It was pretty user friendly and we found that it was $2 per hour for the first 4 hours so we prepaid for 2 hours, which was plenty of time for a quick bite to eat.

Docks:

The atmosphere was lively and fun, with people waiting for tables and the wait staff buzzing around everywhere. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was amazing. I ordered the shrimp tacos which were great. Andy ordered the fish tacos which he indicated were light and refreshing, filled with grilled fish, cabbage slaw, pico de gallo and cilantro-lime sauce on soft tortillas.  They had an extensive drink menu but we just ordered sodas to stay safe while driving the boat.

We had a great time at Doc Ford’s, and we highly recommend it to anyone who loves rum, seafood, and good vibes. It’s one of the best places to hang out at the Saint Pete Pier, and we can’t wait to go back. Check it out for yourself, and let us know what you think.
