The Old Salty Dog is about a 15 to 25 minute ride from the Freedom Boat Club Marina Jack location. When you pull up, you will see the boat docks along the side of the building. When you park and get out of the boat, you will walk all the way around to the front of the building where you see the hostess with a kiosk where you check in.

This place has a lot of character and charm, with a nautical theme and a friendly staff. You can sit inside or outside, and enjoy the views of the water and the boat docks. The menu has a variety of dishes, from burgers and sandwiches to fish and chips and clam chowder. But the star of the show is the Old Salty Dog, a hot dog dipped in beer batter and deep fried, served with your choice of toppings. It’s a decadent treat that will satisfy your cravings.
On our visit last month, I ordered the Grouper Tacos and Andy had the City Island Wings with a side of coleslaw. Both were very delicious and satisfying.
The Old Salty Dog is a great place to relax and have fun with your friends or family, and maybe even catch some live music or trivia nights. It’s a casual and cozy spot that will make you feel like you’re on vacation. Try it, you won’t be sorry.
